Use this guide for the current staging beta round. It covers the main tester journey from registration through gameplay, timed trivia, chance cards, and session end.

Purpose

Use this sheet for end-to-end beta testing of Jersey Empire™ from registration through booking, gameplay, and session end. Treat it like a real player journey and record exact times, pages, screenshots, and short clips whenever something feels wrong.

Tester Focus

Do Not Skip

Record your actual session start time so the trivia/card timing checks are meaningful

Timing Reference

Start your timer when the session is actually started in-game. Timed trivia should appear around T+15m, then every 30m. Chance cards should appear on their own 30m rhythm and remain staggered from timed trivia.

Beta Journey

1. Register And Log In

Create a staging account, log out, and log back in.
Check that login works by Enter key and button click.
Log an issue if registration or login hangs, silently fails, or behaves inconsistently.

2. Book A Session

Book a session using the normal staging flow.
Check that the confirmation screen and dashboard details match what you booked.
Log an issue if the dashboard, confirmation, or booking details drift.

3. Review Team Access

Check the dashboard for the team access route and the beta feedback route.
Make sure the instructions feel clear to a normal tester.

4. Log Into The Game Client

Go to the staging play client and log in with the team credentials.
Before starting, confirm both device-wide location services and browser/app-level location permission are enabled.
Check that valid access works on the correct day and invalid access is blocked cleanly.

5. Start The Session

Start the game at the correct location and note the exact start time.
Check that cash, RC, and the map all look correct at session start.
If the map cannot follow your live position, fix location permissions first and retry before logging a gameplay bug.

6. Landmark Trivia

Move near a known landmark and complete the trivia.
Return later to confirm the same landmark does not keep reopening trivia in the same session.

7. Timed Trivia

Watch for the first timed trivia around T+15m, then every 30m after that.
Check that the popup is clearly labeled as timed trivia and does not clash with chance cards.

8. Chance Cards

Watch for chance cards on their own timed rhythm.
Check that they do not open on top of another active trivia/challenge popup.

9. Session End

Check the finished-session message, ranking/share path, and any expected closeout messaging.
Log an issue if the finished path disappears too early or final state looks incomplete.
